Community Service Opportunity!

Ecole Toussaint Louverture School in East Orange, NJ is holding its annual Career Day on Friday, April 3, 2009. The goal of Career Day is to have the students interact with a wide variety of professionals and occupational groups. This will create an understanding that will help them prepare for their future career. Louverture is currently seeking volunteers to serve as speakers for students in grades 1 to 5. The time commitment will be approximately 3 hours in the morning (9am-12pm). Speakers would share the type of work that is involved in their field. If interested, please contact Grace Gordon at 973-266-2951.

Another Successful Xi Gamma Program!

Congratulations to Xi Gamma for another successful program! Serving Young Heroes: Guiding Children/Youth through Military Deployment had 64 students in attendance in addition to 8 faculty members and 4 administrators. A special thanks to our faculty who promoted the program to students and to our presenters Rachel Lyons, Curtis Myers, and Bill Sardone for assisting our KDP members and CEHS students in becoming more aware of this important topic.
